As a collaborative interdisciplinary leader, Josh has a strong history of bridging professions and healthcare delivery spaces. When the deputy chief and clinical manager of Peterborough Fire & Rescue (PFR), Josh, worked with the laboratory department at Catholic Medical Center to make PFR one of the first fire departments in the nation to obtain a moderately complex CLIA license. In collaboration with Dr. Beth Cooley, Josh developed the mobile integrated healthcare (MIH) program at Monadnock Community Hospital. He continued to expand the program into one of the most comprehensive and far-reaching MIH programs in New Hampshire. For longer-term financial stability, Josh has worked to identify current billing codes for which MIH programs may be reimbursed.
Josh earned a master’s degree in public safety leadership and administration with a concentration in mobile integrated healthcare. He is currently a PhD candidate in interdisciplinary health sciences. Josh has conducted and is currently conducting research that requires significant interdisciplinary collaboration. Josh’s research focuses on prehospital sepsis and mobile integrated healthcare. As a data-driven clinician scientist, Josh designed the first MIH-focused patient and clinician satisfaction surveys in New Hampshire. This qualitative data has been an essential component in demonstrating the impact the MIH program has on both patients and the clinicians who care for them.
As the founder of Innovare Solutions LLC, Josh is excited to support EMS and healthcare agencies on their journeys to develop, deploy, and evaluate MIH programs in their communities.
